Check if mod gzip/deflate is enabled on a url

About the tool

This tool will test if modgzip , or mod deflate is working on a website and that it is serving zipped content to browsers that support it. The compressed size is the size of the website when it is requested in compressed format, and the uncompressed size is the size of the content when it is requested without any compression.

If a website has gzip/deflate working then the compressed size should be much smaller (1/3rd of the uncompressed size). Serving compressed content reduces bandwidth usage and optimises the content transfer between the server and the client.
